Legend was founded in 1993 and sold its first beer in early 1994.
How much beer do you produce?
Last year Legend sold 10,500 barrels (325,500 gallons) of beer. That's the equivalent of 21,000 kegs or 143,000 cases.
Where can I get your beer?
Legend is available in our home State of Virginia, as well as North Carolina and coming this year, Maryland and DC.
What kinds of beer do you make?
Legend brews six styles of beer year round: Lager, Pilsner, Brown Ale, Porter, Golden IPA (India Pale Ale) and an American Style Pale Ale. These are all modern American interpretations on classic beer styles. We also offer four seasonal beers: Oktoberfest, Winter White, Maibock, and Hefeweizen. Our Brewers also produce a variety of small batch limited specials throughout the year.
How much alcohol is in your beer?
The Lager is 4.8% alcohol by volume, Pilsner 6.0%, Brown Ale 6.4%, Porter 5.8%, Pale Ale 6.3%, and the Golden Ale is 7.3%. Our Seasonals and specials vary from 6.0 to 13.9
Do you have a Pub?
Yes, we have a Pub and deck over top of the Brewery. People can come by to taste our beers, see how it is made and enjoy the view of the Richmond Skyline.
Do you give tours of your brewery?
Yes, we give free tours of the brewery every Saturday at 1:00 pm.
